I found £7,000 at Earls Court underground station yesterday.

It was inside a plastic bag on a bench platform.

There is CCTV at the station.

Who should I declare the money to?

Is it 'theft' if I decide to keep the money?

    Photo included.

It is an offence not to hand it in

It's £7,000 ffs, do you really want to risk a criminal record for such a pittance?

Why did you spend like 50 hours counting all of it?

    Well now I'm worried.

I was thinking the law is finders keepers.

Who do I hand it in to?

If he hands it in to the police, it would probably go in their wallet...
this money was obviously intended for illegal activity, i would keep it...
that photo is actually making me drool

It didn't take long to count because it's mostly all £20 notes.

What is quite strange is that the notes on the top are old and no longer spendable.

Spoken like the sort of person who lists their occupation on Facebook as 'vault-dweller'.

Are you seriously questioning what you should do?
Do what any decent human being would do and hand it to the police.

He found it in a public place therefore someone else prior to him could have easily taken some money and he just has to deny he took any (Y)
