confidence

Im not trying to sound funny or immature but you know how you sometimes see guys who you would class as a geek or nerd, slim, no good at sport, maybe walk in a odd way, lack of confidence. Ive always wondered whether these qualities are because they lack confidence or they lack confidence because they are like this and its just the way they are. Reason I ask is cause im one so just want to know lol

I think it's just the way they are :smile:

I mean I guess with some people it could be due to lack of confidence, but loads of my friends are just like that and they definately confident enough :biggrin:

Take up a sport. Go to the gym regularly. Build yourself up. Go out with mates more. Once you go clubbing or whatever and you get a few drinks downed you will feel very confident.

Your question is not funny or immature.

If you want confidence there's alot you can do to get it.

No you don't need confidence for that. Joining a sports team in itself will get you alot more confident.

Or getting a part-time job. Or a girlfriend. Anything like that ....

Both. Being looked down upon by society makes you feel bad about yourself and shy. And lacking confidence allows society to look down upon you.

society doesnt look down upon people with no confidence, they just dont look at them. thats the problem. he needs confidence to be noticed.

I think you're good looking!! Surely that's where a lot of confidence comes from...? Think you may just have to go out more and a part time job sounds weird but it is a good thing especially if it's like customer service...
