Can anyone explain to me how to work out the answer to the following question?
Two adjacent peaks in the electrospray (ESI) mass spectrum of the β chain of haemoglobin have mass to charge ratios of 882.52 and 934.38. What is the molecular weight of the β haemoglobin chain?
I'm a second year Biochemistry student so the simplest explanation possible would be great rather than a long complicated Chemistry one!
