I was making english breakfast for my brother and after he ate it i decided to look at the expiration date for the bacon, it turns out it was already expired since 23rd jan...thats almost 8 days.

would he be ok? i mean the bacon didnt look off or anything.

Yeah, should be fine... as long as it was kept properly refrigerated, meat keeps very well, and 8 days isn't that long really.

Time will tell, I suppose. I would be careful though - out of date meat is a lot more harmful than, say, bread.

This is assuming you're being serious, of course.

for brown bread i would even eat it after 2-3 days after expiration. but meat just seems more...dangerous if you know what i mean?

I don't mean to alarm you, but from what I've heard, it is - that's why they seriously reccomend you don't eat spoilt meat. I don't know the logistics, but I know that much.

If this is something that happened, could you not let your brother / your parents know? Just to watch out for anything - it was a genuine mistake on your part. In fact, you were doing something nice and making him breakfast.
