there's two form of speaking exam for french (well wjec anyways) one is a constructive conversation with your teacher and the other is a speech.

constructive speaking is when you and your teacher (mainly teacher) asks you questions about a certain topic and you reply like a conversation. for this i've made cards with question on one side and the answer on the other, i memorise these so when a question comes up i can see in my memories that the answer for that question is this and that.

for a speech it's just like your writing course work but spoken. write your speech of about 300 words and memorise that, in this the good thing is your teacher cant stop you half way and ask you things like the conversation.

I agree with this. For my speaking exams, I always memorise it by writing it first, then focus on my pronunciation afterwards.

Plus having someone someone checking through what you've written before attempting to memorise it - you don't want to memorise the mistakes.

Ooh, good luck with that!

And yep, I've got French speaking and writing as well as German speaking and writing left, though I don't know when. All I do know is that French speaking will be on the week before Easter holidays. This is all just too stressful...

Wow, my teacher told me I should do German as well but I didn't think I'd manage. I'd probably end up writing the wrong language in each lesson tbh! Good luck with that

I'm surprised I haven't mixed the two languages up yet.

Are you thinking of taking a language at A-Levels?

And thanks!

Almost definitely yes - I'm taking German, which will hopefully balance the three mathsy sciency subjects I'm taking.
