Okay basically i'm in year12 now and I've been looking into optometry and you need at least a B for physics gcse so i've been thinking about retaking it, but what if it affects how i do in my AS exams. Also would the university care if I got a C at physics gcse, especially if i have work experience at Specsavers? I really need help if i should retake or not :/

GCSE exams, although easier than AS still take up much valuable time that needs to be spend revising for the tests. If there is a particular course that you want at a particular university then I suggest that you retake it but I think you should look around - many universities have differing entry requirements and you may be able to do it somewhere else but with a C. Work experience at Specsavers is much more valued by the universities as it shows you have in-job knowledge that many other candidates don't have but requirements are requirements unless you want to go through clearing.

How are you finding A levels?

Yeah, I know the feeling. But if you are understanding the work then I think you will do all right in the exams.
