In this question I thought that the length of the longer side had to be greater than sqrt 20. The mark scheme doesn't show steps, so I don't understand why certain probabilities are on there, could I have some guidance please? Name: S2 Uniform Distribution.png

I have recently done this question, I think.

Draw a diagram of your required rectangle, that should give you an idea. Consider both the length and the width of the rectangle and when each would be the longer side.

Thank you. I wasn't considering the range the width could be.
