And the number of applicants that year etc etc.

I do tend to see that Civil has lower grade requirements than most engineering disciplines. I think it is because it is quite undersubscribed and with less of a demand on high level maths than some engineering fields.

Good choice though, jobs a plenty!

Interested in this course. Quick question though regarding the entry requirements. It states on its website that:

The minimum offer will normally be at grades BBB, although the average attainment is usually around grades AAB.

Why is this only for Civil and not other engineering disciplines? Also just how likely are you to recieve a 'lower' offer?

Actually this year (i.e. for 2008 entry) Civil was advertised at AAB, but they gave offers out at AAA. This is what he was referring to.
