I am doing D1 and D2 next year and wonder if it's hard and is there more pure stuff in it than the other stuff?

D1 and D2 are aweful. They're not hard at all. It's just a bunch of algorithms that you have to memorise. However in exam conditions it's so easy to make silly mistakes, and these tend to have a knock on effect on parts of questions. That combined with high boundaries makes it difficult to get a good grade. You have to be really meticulous for the whole hour and a half. Hated decision.
