So 'Mad to be normal' is being filmed on my uni campus for the next 2 days, starting tomorrow. Apparently the advertisement was put our last thursday, the day before the deadline. Unfortunately, I did not see this until yesterday because A) I am not friends with the activities officer(he shared the advertisement) on Facebook and B) I dont follow the university's twitter.
They were asking for 200 extras of diverse age range, dressed in late 1960s costume (either provided by the department or of their own).
I have sent the casting an email, but there has been no reply.
I really, really want to take part as an extra, and am just upset the deadline has passed. Someone has suggested just sneaking on to the set dressed in the period costume, but am not sure how that will go down (Although we're all just required to sit in a theatre).
Do you think I can ask one of the crews if they'll need an extra 'extra' or a stand-by on the day? They start 8am tomorrow. I would like to try at least, but I don't want to come across as annoying- or awkwardly turn up in a 60s costume
Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
