I need help regarding the King's diploma requirements

Hello everyone,

This is my first time here and I have a question for those of you who are familiar with the diploma requirements for KCL. I would like to know if KCL accepts IB certificates, as I'm currently the full IB diploma student, but would prefer to switch to IB certificates (aka "half" IB). However, this would mean that all of my subjects would still be an IB program subjects, but in this case I would be able to get away without taking subject(s) that I do not need which may impact my grade in the negative way (note;subject(s) that I want to avoid is/aren't a requirement). Other than that, my grades are in the range or above the King's requirements. If that helps you to answer my question, I plan to study B&M. I hope you will be able to supply me with some valuable information, as I couldn't find anything on KCL's web page.

Hey,

You should check out this link as someone already asked the question : http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1463832&page=2
I read it through, and it seems you should stick with the IB diploma, furthermore, when you go on the King's website, they say "IB Diploma" and there is no mention whatsoever of an IB certificate.

My advice would be to call them or send them an email just to be sure. Maybe they do take the IB certificate, but I highly doubt it. I hope for you they do, good luck
