Does having online betting transactions affect how much of a loan you get?

And if so can you set up a seperate bank account with a different bank for student finance?

I don't think that income for gambling counts as its not a fixed income, though it might count as savings.

You can open a student bank account just for your finance if you like, assuming that the bank is happy to do so.

I would call them and confirm the gambling point, though if the income it generates is small it is unlikely to matter anyway.

Gambling winnings are not taxable income and are not taken into consideration when calculating your SF entitlement. If you put them into an interest-bearing account of some sort, the interest generated from them should be declared to SF, but that's all.

Many students choose to open a separate student bank account anyway, because they offer perks/advantages such as a pre-agreed overdraft (usually with helpful repayment terms such as delaying them until the end of your degree), travel cards, discounts etc. Generally the only prerequisites are that your Student Finance payments go into that account and you have proof of a confirmed place at uni. You don't even necessarily have to use it as your main bank account (although you should check the t&cs for each).
