Are coursework-based courses harder than exam-based courses? Like some Business courses are 70% assessed by coursework at some unis and 70% exam--assessed at others? Is it easier or harder to have continuous assessment in the form of coursework? What kind of coursework is it generally- just essays? Any guidance?

There is no generic answer to your question because there are so many things to consider such as course, difficulty, university, markers and yourself as an individual.

Is it a technical business course? Is it a management business course? If it's technical then it'll most likely involve more practical work rather than essay work.
Are you more of a coursework person or an exam person? If you prefer taking exams then of course you may find exams less challenging, but that's not always the case.

What do you mean by "harder"? Every course is going to have a different difficulty and every student will have their own strengths and weaknesses depending on the module. Plus it's only hard if you want it to be because the more effort you put into understanding the content, the less difficult it's going to be.

Regardless, every module or course you take will have some element of challenge. Don't think that you're going to breeze through because a course is 100% essay based. Each course has its own marking scheme and some are going to be stricter than others, so there are going to be different procedures of tackling the work for each module.

My suggestion is not to worry about what percentage of the course is exam or coursework. Focus on each deliverable and make sure you do your best in each part of the course.

It's a BA Business Management, I prefer coursework than exams cause it's more comforting than the intensity and panic of exams.
    Thanks for the guidance ☺
