The most cruel exam question ever! They asked us something which isnt covered in any of the books and it was just horrible!
Im also pissed because they keep giving me low RS coursework marks... i got 90/100 in both exams and 60/100 in my coursework.... but when i handed it in the cambridge for my interview they said it was v good and all my teacher etc have..... saying that no1 in my college has ever got more than a low B in it

edexcel are just plain nasty, most of their exams have very preculiar mark schemes. I used to do some practice ones for unit 23 (AVCE ICT) and i would loose marks because my answers were too complex and weren't covered by the mark scheme...

edexcel are just stupid.

Has anyone complained before and got a result? Im not sure if i should even send them a angry email as most of my papers are with edexcel and i dont want to shoot myself in the foot so to speak.

hi, I complained to Edexcel when I got my AS french oral result. They gave me 58/90 which was a C when I am fluent in french and I know it went well.
After complaining, they re-listened to it and decided that after all they would give me 84/90. Big mistake on their part and could have cost me my uni place - so yeah it is worth complaining if you feel that it is justified.

Rather than doing it personally, have you asked your school? Probably have more weight coming from them too... and it's not like you're the only one who found that paper impossible! I'm sure schools have official mechanisms for these things.

This is good advice - definitely best to do it via your school

I'm stressing too mate :frown: If it stops me getting into uni I'm going to go insane. I just e-mailed my distance learning tutor to try and get him to complain through the college. I think as many of us should do it as possible so that Edexcel have to take notice.

Perhaps write them a letter yourself if you want to do something?
