I'm going into my final year of high school and am unsure of what subjects to take next year. I currently take higher maths, English, German, history and chemistry which I also took at national 5 level alongside biology, design and manufacture and health and food technology. I'm interested in crime but honestly have no plan of what I want to do or study after I leave school. Do you know of any good subjects to take for crime? Or anything I could do ie. College courses, work experience? Thank you in advance

Hey! If your school or a college nearby does Higher Sociology, that would be a great addition, or Psychology! Both would be excellent for a criminology application. Best of luck!

When you say crime do you mean within the police, the law or in medicine, for example if its in the police or you have in interest in a law degree then modern studies is going to be beneficial. However if its medicine such as a forensic pathologist its a long road there, you'd need to first do a degree in medicine and then a postgrad degree, meaning you'll need AH chemistry and H biology in your sixth year, H physics may be useful also. Whatever career you decide on, whether its in one of the areas above or a totally different category, get some work experience to make sure you're well suited for it
