Predictions for this years exam? OMAM and AIC?

Also studying the conflict cluster for poetry. Worrying about this exam the worst.

What would you talk about for Eric and how it links to social historical context of 1912 ?

Gerald is more relevant to historical content because he represents the able-bodied man, influenced by aristocratic influences. However with Eric, he represents the socialist aspirations of Priestly and the verge and departure from the old traditional ways. In terms of 1912, Eric helps to paint the picture of the average child of a wealthy businessman (hence why he went to top boarding school) but also as he was able to use his money as a strong influence to help seduce women in exchange for their body parts. I know this was on off-topic answer, but the Q seems to be ambigious.

I think that the section of Candy's dog getting shot might come up this year for OMAM because it hasn't come up for a long time

The problem I have guys is that my teacher has only covered Foundation level AQA Eng Lit, and she put a few of us in for the higher- including me. I haven't much idea what to expect on the higher paper! I've looked online...still.
And she told the whole class in front of me that she expects an A* from me :O
It's a GCSE "Restart" course, not Secondary school (but I've never done GCSEs before anyway...)
    So any ideas peeps?

i would talk about the sympathy that is expressed for eric, perhaps contrasting with Eva. Main points that i would make is how he is affected by the inspector but also that how Priestly is not only doing a socialist campaign but a feminist campaign. These ideas can be expressed by how there are sterotypes of masculinity and how he is responsible for a reputation, by contrasting him to Mr. birling. You could say how mr birling is presumbly more masculine yet doesn't accept any responsibility unlike eric.
Going down the sympathy route he is

Do you guys/ gals think that Inspector Goole could come up considering he came up in 2012's January paper? I'm thinking it'll be either Gerald, Sheila, Mrs B or The Inspector!

I was thinking the exact same! Sheila was predicted last year but didn't come up so i think she is most likely.

What about themes? I was thinking Responsibility but I'm not sure what else..

I think for OMAM it will be the Candy's dog shooting scene (that's what people have told me) and for AIC most probably Sheila, Gerald, Mrs B or the Inspector. For themes I was thinking Responsibility cos I can't think of any others that haven't come up!

For Unit 1 Inspector calls I reckon that Inspector or Sheila will come up and also for Of Mice and Men I reckon Candy or Crooks will come up and the theme might be Loneliness?

I've checked all the unit 1 English Literature papers since January 2011 and these are my predictions.

For An Inspector calls, since every character has already come up once, I think this year will either be Inspector Goole, Gerald and possibly Mrs Birling or Social Duty and how Age causes all the characters to differ.

For Of Mice and Men, the part where George shoots Lennie has never come up and neither has Candy or his dog. Does anyone else have anymore predictions?
