I have an offer for medicine at exeter university and was wondering what life is like living there?

Whats the social life like? Do you mind living with just medics? Would you have preffered to go to a bigger city?

    Thanks

I'd also like to know. Is the area nice and what is the night life like?

i would have much preferred to have gone to a bigger city, don't find much goes on in Exeter but on the other hand most people i know here love it. The night life is pretty awful, a few decent pubs but if you're into big clubs and stuff then you'll hate it here haha

Agreed. There aren't many nightclubs. I find the cost of living here is pretty high, and according to our student newspapers its one of the highest outside of London. Campus is quite pretty in places, but they are expanding student numbers hugely and not building much or anything to offer more study spaces on the main campus (Streatham). St Lukes, however, has a tonne of room, but usually not enough students to cover it.

Oh and we have the earliest start to our teaching year in January (exams started on Jan 4th this year), and this year they moved the start of the university day to 8:30 am, and the finish to 6:30pm (which is meant to be only in "special circumstances" but is far to frequent).

Oh no, how will you ever cope with potentially having to start half an hour later than you'll start work once you move into the real world...

Come work in healthcare where you start at 7:30 and some days don finish until 21:00. With the odd 24 hour on call here and there. You will dream of 8:30 starts

    LAFROWDA - ROWE - ST GERMANS😊
if you could help me with my query it would be much appreciated... my current top choice accommodations are Lafrowda (less homely kitchens, smaller beds, renound for great social life), Rowe house (beautiful everything + big beds, none of my friends who are students seem to have heard of it), and St Germans (again, lovely, but no one seems to have heard of it)
Is there anyone who is a current student who could tell me some more about these accommodations? Lafrowda is my least favourite of the 3, however I would love be surrounded by lots of lively outgoing people and the general consensus is that Lafrowda would be the best for this?
    Thanks

Can anyone weigh in on what it's like at the Cornwall campus? I know Falmouth is hardly a big city so i'm a little worried about lack of nightlife, but provided there's still stuff to do I'll be happy
