    Hello,

I'm working on a branding project where I have to create an extension for a brand named Teapigs. I wanted to look into perhaps a teahouse/tea exclusive café as they are currently online only. However, I'm struggling to come up with a name for a tea café. I thought of Muddy Brew but it sounds a bit filthy even though it's related to "tea and pigs". As well as The Pen because a pigs house is also known as a Pig Pen. If you any suggestions, they would be much appreciated?

You might want to ignore this because this is a project and you're probably not really interested in selling the idea to me but the connotations of tea are culture, serene, ancient tradition, exotic flavours-- I'm not sure how many tea-lovers would like to identify as tea 'pigs'. Teapigs isn't exactly drawing me to your brand. If this were some dirty hobby where we were embracing a working class profession or something and it were tongue in cheek, I'd understand it. Here, I don't understand why it's been chosen.

    Others may disagree.

"Teapigs" might not be popular among Muslim and Jewish customers.

Why does their cafe need a different name? It would probably make more sense to use the same name for both the online shop and the brick-and-mortar one, assuming there's no trademark difficulties. That way, people visiting the cafe may check out the website, and vice-versa.

Thats true, however the way Snickers have their own chocolate bars, when they extended into selling Snickers Ice Cream Bars thats like a whole new concept for the brand. In a similar way, Teapigs sell their tea exclusively online therefore, a café is a whole new concept to their brand. Therefore, just like the icecream bars, Teapigs name will automatically be associated with the café but I'm trying to come up with something rather than just "Teapigs Café".

This sounds like the worst idea ever if you mean a café that doesn't sell coffee or other drinks? What happens when the family where 2 people want tea and 1 wants coffee come in. They'll go elsewhere won't they? Perhaps this is why you really don't get tea(only)rooms in this country.

You've already got all the facilities and staff for making hot drinks. To willfully exclude other drinks is retarded. You can specialise in tea, sure, but have other options too.

Mainly tea at home and coffee out.

I like the idea of a tea house. I think 'The Pen' is a good name.

Tea Pigs is a great brand. The name is quirky, the packaging is nice and the tea tastes good.

A tea house will attract the health conscious so consider this when thinking about the food offering, interior etc

I wouldn't exclude coffee. Some cafes are now offering coffee with 'healthier' milk e.g. almond

    Might be an option.
