I live at home as my uni (Queen Mary University of London) is situated near my home, and i just dont find the people on my course interesting. I dont want to forcefully make friends just for the sake of not being a loner, but i really thought uni is supposed to be where you find some of your best friends and you have the best time of your life, and it hasnt been like that for me at all and i feel like i don't know what to do. Is this normal?

No. Sadly this is a myth.

Making friends can be hard. It only seems to get harder when you leave school and then university.

Haven't really got much advice I'm afraid. Just remember there are many people in the same situation.

I think the hype surrounding university often leads to disappointment. The 'time of your life' is clearly a huge selling point for them.

Join a club? May as well put that cliche out there.
