    Metallica rule all

Listen to "one" and "Master pf puppets" as well. Thier lyrics are so deep and meaningful rather than just screaming at the top of your voice.
Plus they are THE best live band.
Cheap Trick is the BEST live band, and Maiden is far best than Metallica. Powerslave is a masterpiece.

Powerslave is a nice album cover too. I have it as a big back patch

I love Iron Maiden's stuff and I love Metallica's stuff. They are two entirely different bands from virtually different eras. Metallica came into focus just as Iron Maiden had done their dash at the forefront of a newly set out genre. They both added their own distinctiveness to music and sent many people to the hearing aid specialists in the process. Run to the Hills, The Clairvoyant, Hero of the Day, Nothing Else Matters. Just a few great songs, and from both bands.

Are you serious? They're both great. This is like choosing between Anna Kournikova and a young Nicole Kidman, and then blasting someone because they choose one or the other. Hallowed Be Thy Name, Children of the Damned, Revelations, The Prisoner vs. Fade To Black, Sanitarium, Unforgiven, Battery, Dyers Eve? I just can't choose, but I will give my 2 cents. When Iron Maiden are on, they're every bit as good as Metallica, and maybe even a little better, but when they're not on, they're very bad. I blame this on the fact that during the 80's, it seemed that bands had to release a new album every year. And when you'd go see a band in concert and they said "See you next year". They really meant it. And they'd be touring with a new album. Metallica never had to do that so they could take their time with every song and every album. And with the exception of St. Anger, they've never really made a bad album. If Iron Maiden could've done that, they'd have more than 1 or 2 all time classic albums (Number of the Beast & Powerslave). Metallica has about 3 or 4 all time classics (Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, ...And Justice for All, & Black). In my opinion, the all time best albums come from the band "Tool". They really take their time and everything they do is great...every song...every note. I also really like the Smashing Pumpkins's 2 classic albums (Siamese Dreams & Gish). But seriously, choosing between Iron Maiden and Metallica? Can't we all just get along? Let's pick on someone else...like...uh...the Ace of Base, the New Kids on the Block, or some other crap band.
