The Student Room Group

passing solids on the job

Sorry, bit of a vulgar thread I know, but heregoes...

OK, I'm a disabled student at uni, and I have an assistant who helps me for 40 minutes in the mornings, and 2 hours in the evening. Trouble is, we're in the 'friend zone' now, as it were, so I find it hard to bring in my employer boot as he's a mate, of sorts. But I feel he's beginning to take advantage of this, like the way he always disappears for a long **** in the middle of a shift, and doesn't clean up afterwards. Last time, i had to do it myself coz i had a mate around, and due to my condition its not safe me doing that. How can i tell him to learn some bal control??

Maybe put a big sign on the toilet brush saying "DON'T FORGET TO USE THIS OR I WILL KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE DONE".

a tricky situation but you should basicaly tell him how youve said it here, about how its unsafe for you and he needs to either clean up or stop doing it. just remember to try and keep it light and informal, but stern at the same time :s-smilie:

LOL, might work, but last time he did put some foam down it for a change, but soon as i flushed the foam disappeared, but the offending article didn't.

We have this problem at my work *I know!* and there's signs in the ladies saying:

"Please ensure that this room is kept tidy and clean and that the pan is flushed clear".

Also, is there a problem with your cistern? I am assuming you have no problems flushing, but might be worth a check?

No, it's an electronically operated thingy and works absolutely fine.

Oh, soz but just to make it clear I'm talking about marks around the pan, not 'unflushables'.

Ahhh, then amend the sign to say:

"Scrub the pan and call Gillian McKeith, you slimy poo-ed bastard!"

You need to remind him that he is the employee and has a job to do.

Surely part of his job is to do stuff that is dangerous for you to do...especially if he is the one making the mess?

Tell him it's not working?

The bloke leaves some skidmarks and you want the guy to sack him? A bit extreme don't you think?
Reply 10
Why don't you just tell him the next time he goes and does the deed that while he is down there, could he clean up the toilet afterwards. No need to discuss him leaving the skid marks, just say you can't do it yourself...

Hahahahhahahaha I'm sorry I've just been laughing the whole time reading this!

I don't really have any advice, except just tell him upfront...

Hahahahhaha (I can't believe talking about toilet behaviour still makes me giggle at this age!)

I was reading the thread seriously . . . till I got to this, which set me off in hysterics.

You know she's not a real doctor, right? And that basically her collecting and "analysing" people's stools is just her fetish. It's been brought up in court.

I mean, come on, who has a picture of a poo on their wall!?
