Laughing is unattractive??!

Hiya. I read in an old glamour magazine that laughing can be really unattractive and offputting - I'm not talking little giggles, but like massive greats guffaws of horsey laughter. What do you think - unattractive? I always thought this would be fairly appealing - being able to laugh a lot and having a good sense of humour. What do people find (un)attractive?

i love to see guys laughin, shows they are havin fun and enjoyin themselves. unless they have some rediculous laugh i dont see how it can be seen as unattractive?

if its a hearfelt, honest laugh, theres something very sexy in that,

i hate stupid little fake laughs, or even worse the polite "haha im laughing because you have more money and power than me and i want you to like me " laughs.

i dont go by what magazines say. they're all wrong.

I've only ever met one girl with an unattractive laugh. She was actually quite fit physically, but when she laughed she'd actually shout the words 'ha ha ha', (and not har har har - the way a notherner would pronounce the 'ha' in "have") as loud as possible, and it really out me off....like, I was embarassed to go out with her, cos everyone would jump with shock and look whenever she laughed.

Apart from extreme cases though...laughing is attractive, it makes other ppl laugh and thus feel happy! :biggrin:

Bit worrying this, maybe that's why everyone avoids me when I have a laughing fit.... either that or its the fact that I can do I really evil "Mwahahaaahahaaaaaa", ahh come one guys, wheres the fun in trying not to laugh because people will find it unattractive? Well sucks to them, they're missing out on a great time. Everyone needs to not be able to breathe from laughter every now and then.... makes you feel goooooood.....

Well unless you laugh like janice from friends that is...

Haha good I was just wondering - seemed a bit strange that it said that in glamour!! I always thought it showed off a happy, fun personality, that's why I love to laugh!! Hehe!!

My mum and auntie have the same witch like cackling laugh and when they laugh at the same time it echoes round the house.. rather frightening and unnatractive i must say :P

It may be unattractive. However it probably is not to the person who told the joke.

Definitely. A lot of completely vacuous girls just laugh to cover up the fact they're boring too in my experience.

Just off topic here....are your profile/posts here serious? I mean, are you like that in real life? Is that a serious picture in your avatar? (It looks like about 3 months or less of working out on an ectomorphic frame...ie not really that impressive). And the speaking in third person etc.

I can't really decide whether you're taking the piss outa yourself and we're supposed to laugh with you or you're actually really like that in which case everyone would laugh at you? I seriously hope its the first option for your sake mate....lol
