Hi, so I applied to study Economics and Politics here at Stirling and I looked into it before hand but now I am wondering what is the difference between politics and politics (international), I presumed that politics (international) would be more like international relations however upon looking at Stirling uni website, it seems anything you can do in politics (international) you can do in politics so I was wondering what the difference is?

    Thanks in advance

You could do a degree in politics, and study the same modules that make up the international politics degree, but on politics you get a wider range of modules to chose from (better if you're not sure where your interest lies). The options for joint degrees are also wider ranging for politics (international politics can only be joined with a foreign language).
The advantage to doing international politics is the name of the degree (if you want to work in international politics, it looks better on your cv to have a degree in international politics than politics. But if you don't want to work in international, then it doesn't make much difference what your degree title is).
