I'm transferring university after my foundation year, so do I have to re-apply through the new system or do I keep my current student finance account and apply like I'm moving into second year and just change the university and course details in my application? Thank you.

Hi Riley! As none of us keen amateurs seem to know the answer, I've asked the Mods to consider moving it to the Ask Student Finance England section. An official SF rep will see it there and you should get the info you need.

    Hi Riley95

If your foundation course was included in the full course (i.e. foundation year-1, 1st year-2, 2nd year-3, final year-4) then the university can send a transfer to us when you apply and you will maintain the same level of funding.

If you are apply on a new course or the university can't transfer you, then you will be processed under the new rules as a new student.

    Thanks
