As time goes by I am seeing my friends becoming more of themselves i.e (Head boy, others doing activities like windsurfing, getting their article published for a local newspaper or making loads of other friends) and I sitting here feeling like I am not moving at all or doing anything, like I am left in the dark most of the time.

Is there anything which you could think of that may get me more involve with things. Thanks

Maybe you could start a blog? Even just getting a few of your friends to follow it can be seen as really impressive so long as you update it regularly. Writing about something you're passionate about can really make you feel better, and give you something to look forward to doing. I've a friend who did that and it helped her secure a place at university. In regards to math/science I don't really know much, but perhaps look up some extra events or contests that may be taking place in your area. It's not always about doing something big, but building your path with little things.
