At some point he will have to go, either after 2020 or possibly beforehand. So who do you think will replace him?

My opinion is that the two most likely are Dan Jarvis or Stella Creasy.

John McDonnell would almost certainly replace him if he stepped down.

if the Right force him out and block any of his allies standing for the subsequent election then Labour will lose a ton of members & will likely never see power again.

I think John McDonnell is too old, although he is younger than Corbyn. If it's someone from the left I think it's more likely to be someone else. Possibly Cat Smith or Clive Lewis

Unlikely. I don't think any of the candidates for leadership will ever become leader.

I saw an interview with Jarvis debating Abbot, and he came across badly I think -(Faced with the calamity that is Abbot). The only reason people seem to go on about him is because he's an ex soldier and isnt a complete muppet.

As for Chucka i'm not sure I trust him on economics and business and I think he is possibly compromised. I like the guy though I think he's got talent but i'm not sure where to put him, transport secretary maybe?

I don't think any of them have the charisma and sense of direction to take the party anywhere, most are either recycling the ideas of Michael Foot or Tony Blair, what the Labour party needs is someone with a clear sense of purpose who can communicate that to the wider electorate.

No one immediately comes to mind.

Cat Smith would be a good choice if she was up for it, she was very impressive on Question Time up against a very right wing panel.

Stella Creasy! :y: She got the Labour Co-Op party's nomination for deputy leader. So I like her.

You can't really judge someone off one small debate (if you can even call it that) on TV which lasts about 3 minutes. Also Abbott tends to talk over everybody and just buts in continuously...so I am not surprised he came across badly lol.

I have seen him on other debates when he was really knocking into IDS cuts...and he really came across well imo...not your typical blue wearing red..

I second that....

she seems a very good politician imo...she is supposed to be a brilliant MP as well who really cares about her constituency.

Sir Keir Starmer
His name seems to pop up a lot. Don't know too much about him tbh

If Labour were to get rid of Corbyn before 2020, they should really go with a new face....the likes of Burnham, McDonnell, Cooper won't do much for them imo....
