Hello, I'm very confused with my chemistry salters coursework.

I was going to try use iron (ll) and iron (III) catalysts for my hcl and thiosulfate reaction but my teachers says it won't work and i need to find out why?

    I can't find ANYTHING!!!
I found one post about how both iron(ll) and iron (lll) cannot catalyse a reaction but not why both of them would not work???

Any help from someone who understands chemistry would be amazing!
thank you ) and any links of sources too hehe
