IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET AN A* IN MATHS when your teacher is re-strictly focusing on C - B/A topics whilst you at home revise your self or ask the teach in his own time for help in just 4 months?
    i tend to get A's / B's and C's in maths (1 of each)

In my school, we had two months to learn the higher tier maths stuff by ourselves because our teacher was off and we were only told then that we were sitting the paper in November.

I, along with 17 other pupils attained an A*, 14 got an A and 5 had Bs. So don't worry, it's achievable! Past papers are the key.

Yeah It's possible. When doing past papers try to focus on the A* type of questions given. Get a list of A* topics from your teacher and start revising them all. Watch Youtube videos on those topics. Do you have Maths watch? if yes watch all the A* topics on there. Do as many past paper questions as you can and try to aim for..the highest mark you can get i guess? compare what you get to the average grade boundaries, read examiner's report.
