We want to go away this summer for about a week, and originally we'd planned to go to wales and had even found a cottage that was willing to house us, but the dates ended up conflicting. Any suggestions of places/ways to holiday?? Naturally as 18 year olds we're looking at no more than £120 each, and there's 7 of us (male and female) so about £700-£800 max. Camping doesn't appeal to some of the group, and we'd much prefer a house, but it seems that every home owner assumes that because we are 18 we're going to trash their house, so I think camping will be a kind of last resort

Have you considered staying in a hostel? They're inexpensive and some of them are really nice. Since you're a big group you should be able to book a room just for you if you want.

Check the YHA website, their hostels have a good reputation and there are many all over the country so you can stay wherever you like.

    Thank you, that's a great idea I hadn't thought of 😊
