I'm coming down with something...

I'm getting poorly! :frown:

I'm exhausted, my joints ache, and my throat is sore :frown:

I've got three jam-packed weeks left in classes, one week revision period then straight into exams on 4th June - I haven't got time to be ill.

Is there anything I can do to head off this illness or at least shorten it's duration? Or is it too late and all I can do is wish I'd been eating fruit rather than chocolate these last few months...

just take some sort of cold symptom relief tablets (e.g. 'day nurse' and 'night nurse') when you get the cold.

make sure you get enough vitamin C but apparently it doesnt make much difference.

make sure you always get 8 hours sleep.

I read that, whilst it's disputed whether or not echinacea prevents illnesses, taking it at the onset of a cold or similar can shorten its duration. Get down to Boots and get yourself some echinacea and take it every day for 2 weeks (but no longer than this), and get some high dose vitamin C whilst you're at it. These should help your body fight the germs and get you back to full strength more quickly. Take it easy this weekend and get plenty of sleep; I know you've got stuff you should be doing, but better to take a little bit of time out now than lots in a few weeks when you really need to be working.

As someone who always seems to get ill when I'm stressed and really can't afford to, I totally sympathise! (I'm all sniffly today too and have 7,000 words to write for next week!) Hope you get better soon xxx

ive had this all weekend, thought i was alright so went back to college but ending up only lasting 2 lessons before having uncontrolable shivering and wierd balance. Also went a funny grey colour.

advice! stay in bed. Sleep lots. the revision and work can wait as if you try and work while your ill your not going to be very productive, are not going to learn a great deal and the illness is likely to take longer to get rid of.
