Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction here. A good friend of mine is over here from Russia on a student visa and has just finished her exams at the LSE (London school of economics) in Corporate Law & Tax.

The results will not be known till Novemer but she has been accepted to go on to complete her CPE (at least that's what i think its called?). Anyhow, she now needs to find some part time work pref with a law firm to keep a roof over her head or perhaps even get a training contract from some other law firms in London.

She has contacted Slaughter & May, Baker & Mckenzie etc but has had no luck thus far.

Im am not too sure where to start or who to ask to help her in this.

    Please help.
    Many Thanks

Try asking Vitriol, he's doing the CPE and knows quite a lot about these firms. If I were you friend I would try Clifford Chance, Allen & Overy and maybe one or two American firms (there again, Vitriol has a training contract with one). Best of luck to your friend.
