Murder Mystery Party - dress up

for my friends 18th shes havnig a murder mystery party and we have all been assigned roles.
My character is a french cabert (sp?) singer called Cherie Boot (nice french surname! lol)

but she's also quite masculine. how can I dress as a french female caberet sing whilst showing tom boyishness??

I was thinking waistcoat, trilby and skirt and boots??? help!

I was going to suggest a waitscoat too but for tomboyishness Id go for some fitted trousers.
Also obvious makeup like red lipstick to emphasise a sense of feminity though.

Other than that I cant be very helpful :frown:

I'd have said some shorts, a sparkly top but a tophat and tails!

I would go for long boots and a long puffy skirt to about the mid calf. with a blouse and a waistcoat. I agree with louisedotcom about the red lipstick.
