Rate determining Step questions - F325- Chemistry

This question belongs to the unifying concepts January 2006. The rate equation is Rate = K {H+}{Propanone}

Suggest the equations for a possible two step reaction mechanism.
I know the answer, for the slow step/ rate determining step, the propanone reacts with the H+ proton. I'm just wondering what kind of reaction the propanone and H+ undergo

Bear in mind this is an old spec question, but this is in line with similar questions that is coming up in the recent F325 papers. Any advice, on what reaction propanone and H+ undergo would be appreciated.
