^If you manage your time well, you shouldn't need to attempt to keep yourself awake artificially.
I really wouldn't rely on them! Anything in large quantities is bad for you.

My experience= They are okay. They take a while to kick in but once they do, they keep me awake for about 4 hours or so!
they keep me awake, but not in a decent state to revise!

They dont get rid of the feeling of being tired but sort of keep me awake but not to the full extent. Im not that keen on them.
Pro plus just make you feel awake, but they still don't allow you to escape tiredness and exhaustion. They will make you feel worse as the extra caffeine will disrupt your sleep pattern further, causing more tiredness. Studies have shown that if you don't get a good night's sleep one night, your mental ability is the same as that of you in a 'drunken' state.

So, taking pro plus will make you feel more tired and impair your exam performance, but its your choice. Also the caffeine will mess with you, i don't have any in my diet, so when i do have it it gives me heart palpitations, hyperactivity, insomnia...that sort of thing. I'd advise staying away from it, with better sleep you will feel more relaxed, refreshed and be able to do more high quality work.

you need red bull, the sugar keeps you going the caffine keeps you awake, pro plus will turn you into a zombie, you won't be able to do anything, because you can't think straight, but you won't be able to sleep.

It's crap.

I need to do a 4000 dissertation proposal for tomorrow at midday, so this is painfully relevant.

So why not pro plus and some carbs then (if red bull works) ?

I've heard baaaad stories.
I kept a packet with me in school after I'd been awake all day and night previously, and someone who saw me taking one told everyone I was on drugs! I really don't like them, they made me feel like crap and as someone has said above, very zombie-like. I was just "there" in school all day, didn't add much to my lessons.
They do bugger all for me unless I combine them with vodka. I obviously don't advise this for your particular situation! (or any situation, in fact. I'm never combining the two again!)

wrigleys make wrigleys active with guarana and 5mg caffeine per gum. does it real good.

also to write 10 000 word diss in 2 days i drank sprite 3G energy drink, and ate a few cadbury creme eggs throught the night to keep the sugar going. it works real better than cofee and caffeine alone which keeps you awake but tired
dont go there :s-smilie:. my friend is HOOKED on them now, she gets through packets of them, and if she doesnt have them every so often she gets the shakes really bad. and shes sick sometimes :s-smilie:. just dont go there......

Like paracetamol, pro plus is good to have around just for the odd occasion when you really need it. Most of the time, however, a cup of coffee will wake you up in the morning and it's best to go to bed when you're really tired. Pro plus is not an alternative to sleep; it's just handy for emergencies (essay due the next morning...)

I use pro plus quit often because it's easier to get hold of then a coffee (I don't drink instant!) so I depend on pro-plus if I'm working long shifts/early shifts especially after a night out.

Have also used to to get me though a day's lectures if I'm feeling tired.

Caffinene makes me bounce off the walls which is good at work...I get things done in half normal time!!!

I have used it for all nighters however only use it short term. I will not use it though exams, I use it to get though days. Make sure you sleep a proper night.

I will be taking pro-plus for my morning exams when I wake up...Not to keep me awake to revise!

pro+ is better for exams than lots of coffee- less likely to need to wee during exam
I relied on Pro Plus and Red Bull for my exams. Couple of all-nighters to revise. Problem was that, like has already been said, I still felt tired, but just unable to sleep :s-smilie:

On me it had a delayed effect as well. One night I went to bed a 4.30, woke up at 6 absolutely wide awake and could not sleep for the life of me. Strange, huh?

I only use it when I have an essay due really soon and NEED to stay awake all night (like tonight!) and when I know I can sleep for like 12 hours as soon as it's over. I wouldn't reccommend them for exam time cos they don't make you feel less tired, it's like people have said, you're awake but you're like a zombie, which wouldn't be good for revision and stuff.

There's also the associated health risks for people who take too much or are sensitive to caffeine, or who can get dependant on them.

Myself I find they don't do much, so instead of the two you're supposed to have I have to take about 5. But that's because of my metabolism and the fact I have quite a large body mass *cough*.

I took them at the end of last term, along with lots of coffee, to keep awake for two days straight to finish a bit of work that was really hard and I wanted to be really good. I got an A* for the essay (bloody should have done for all that as well!) and I was literally skipping up the road to hand it in, and bouncing away chatting to my friend about how much I liked chemistry, so I would say that pro plus can also make you a little hyper...
