What am I looking at here?
A moving charged particle will create a line across the image. But according to the question, a charged particle is annihilated at X and two uncharged particles are produced. This particles can't be seen, except I can see a straight line moving left and slightly down on the page.
What the mark scheme describes doesn't seem to have anything to do with what's on the picture, so what am I missing?

Here is my answer from my attempt at answering the question:

At X there is one charged particle, which you can see from atrack moving to the left. When the arrow ends this particle decays further, with only one charged particle as a result. You can see this from only one pathbeginning at the end of the first track.

Haven't looked at this stuff in a while, but no-one's answered so I'll give it a go.

You know that the first particle is charged since it's leaving a track. But it stops at X, this means it's interacted with something and produced neutral particles, otherwise you'd be able to see lines coming from X.

To the left of X, 2 lines suddenly appear in a V shape, so a neutral particle has to have decayed into a pair of charged particles. A similar thing also happens above X, another V shape can be seen so you know the same thing happened up there.

Thanks, I understand now. I thought the arrow pointing to where X is was a track!
