My friend's uncle did around 12 lessons with my friend and he passed his driving test first time and i am gonna take driving lessons from the same guy and the same amount. Is this a good idea and just to clarify he had no past driving experience before so me and him are practically the same.

I don't see why it should be bad idea.

How many lessons you will need tu pass is up to you, while people can pass after 10 lessons, some might need 40, it really depends.

If u haven't had any past driving experience, I'd say it would take you between 20-30 lessons to get yourself up to the right standard for the test. I've had about 25 so far with a very good instructor, my test it booked for April
