Which one do you show more affection towards?
I would have to say my mother. Although before the age of 14, I always liked my father more.

Never had anything to do with my dad but I would say I show affection to my mum every day. I tell her I love her every day and hug her whenever I see her.

Never. I haven't seen my dad in nearly 16 years and my mum is always chronically stressed which means she lashes out all the time. She insults me, belittles me, calls me names and believes that I will never amount to anything. It doesn't take a genius to work out that nothing I do will ever make her proud of me. I used to be more affectionate when I was younger, but I've just stopped completely as it gives me a false sense of security and shows weakness in front of my ruthless mum who will tear me apart for doing the simplest thing wrong. As far as I'm concerned, I don't have any parents.
