    Hello,

So I'm doing the Love and Loss section on 'Betrayal' and 'The Glass Menagerie' and we have basically been told that the majority of the marks go towards context, which I find the most difficult tbh.

Biographical context - the lives of Williams/Pinter
Social and historical context - economics and views on marriage, gender roes etc in the Great Depression and the 1970s England
Cultural context - cultural influences on Williams and Pinter e.g. Hollywood gangster movies, Lady Chatterley's Lover
Context of reception - how critics and audience have reacted to the plays over the years.

I just find it hard to include it in exam question responses, without completely namedropping. Is anyone in a similar situation to me or has any websites to help with context?

    Thanks
