Then over the next few weeks demonstrate that Ray is delegating you sufficient tasks that you can not operate as an MP and Deputy Speaker (to date your more of a stand in). If the House then feels that your being used sufficiently then we'd probably back making the DS role a non-MP one.

For now though taking an update for 2 days with very little other semi-permanent tasks is not enough.

In my rage at the prospect at more bureaucratcy you all started to look like commies for a second (seeing red so to speak).

I would like to echo my Hon. and Rt. Hon. friends in saying that this is unnecessary, or at the very least poorly executed. Do we have non-voting MPs? No. Do we need them? No. The only time that they exist, or are needed, is when you have places constitutionally bound to have no voting representation, such as DC. The non voting members of the chamber are there so they can represent their constituents in debate, something that a commoner can do in this place, as I am demonstrating right now given that my new seat is yet to be announced and I am yet to be added to the user group. Fair enough the deputy could be bound to be a member of the user group and not be able to take up a seat, but I cannot support the amendment as it exists, and I see no real issue with the current arrangement.

    BOLSHEVISM!

Whilst not looking at NH stuff in the club last night there was a fair bit of internally shouting Bolshevism at people.
