true technically it's being put in hospital against your permission, but if you act like you don't want to be in hospital but act very suicidal at the same time, and get "forced" into hospital you're still going through the process, to the outside world, of being sectioned, right?

It's a lot harder than that. Even people who have serious mental health problems struggle to get sectioned even if other people can see they are a risk to themselves. There is a serious lack of funding and psychiatric beds in the UK.... even people who repeatedly harm themselves quite seriously don't get sectioned always.

i was just making a joke. like, imagine being in psychiatric hospital and playing "the entertainer" at really bleak moments...bit sick i guess

i have mental health problems fyi so not poking fun at mentally ill, just chuckling at how ridiculous it would make me look if i broke into the entertainer at such a moment.

I know, dw.... just a lot of people probably do think if you act a bit suicidal or whatever you get sectioned but that's not the case.

Dw i enjoy a joke as much as the next
