I wanted to make this transition and was wondering if anyone else had done this?
How did you find your transition?
    Were you supported?
    What should I know?

I know a few people that have done it. Definitely do-able.

I'm going into nursing but ultimately I am hoping to transition to be a surgeon so I am hoping is doable.

My other half's aunt wanted to become a surgeon before she "settled" (her words) for being the head of adult nursing at our local hospital. When she considered it the doctors she worked with were supportive and encouraged her applying to re-train

The doctors are supportive haven't told any of my colleagues though i.e nursing staff worried about the support I will receive I'm sure they will be lovely but I've not long been in the job and the med school has been a long since dream that I put aside for sometime, how do I explain?
