NATO plans to tighten the noose on Russia as thousands of troops are planned to be deployed in Europe. The UK is all set to send five additional ships to the Baltic. The new NATO force likely be consisting of around 6,000 troops to be sent to six neighbouring countries of Russia.
This is believed to be an attempt to counter the Russian aggression in Europe. During the summer, NATO is expected to make the number of troops final in Warsaw. Six countries, which share its borders with Russia, have been pressuring for additional troops from Germany, Britain and the United States.
Those six countries are Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Bulgaria and Poland. Defence ministers are scheduled to meet in Brussels on Wednesday to discuss the new plans.
The troops are likely to include a large number of personnel from Germany, Britain and the US. The units will be deployed on a rotational basis. The units should include ground-attack helicopters and aeroplanes. Highly-mobile special forces units are to be armed with surface-to-air missiles.
