It's something I started not long ago, it's a five years journal, and it'll be great to look back on my life 5 years ago to know what I did on those days, looking back one month ago I'm happy I kept one lol, anyone else keep one?

What do you mean? Is this not the same as a diary?

Oh, ok. I guess I do both then, i.e. I write the key events of the day and my thoughts about them, or the prevailing emotion of the day.

I have kept one for years, and I really like it because looking back to what things were important to you or occupied your time, you see how much you have changed.

It's even cooler if you keep a searchable electronic version (e.g. on Evernote) because you can see in a second how many times you had ice-cream that year or fought with your boyfriend etc .
