First year student. I have a lot of 'free' time - there's only one day where I have a lot of lectures, and that's Tuesday, which is 5 hours worth. Most other days I have 1-2, on Friday I have none.

I have a lot of free time during the day and I have no idea what to do. My friends aren't always available during these times, so what can I do to keep myself busy during the day? Anything productive?

The gym is definitely the way forward, get fit, less bored and meet other fit people!

or Join the local climbing club. Great way to chill away hours at a time, physically and mentally challenging yourself and meet cool chilled out new people! And climbers love organising climbing trips away, to spectacular, stunning places!
