I love grammar and etymology <33

Although I once said that to a guy and he lost interest pretty much immediately afterwards :/

I don't have a favourite word per se, but I use 'obscure' words in everyday conversation and people look at me like "speak English please". however i don't think they're actually obscure - if I have the capacity for an extensive vocabulary, why not use it? The English language is the most beautiful one.

    Apparently I overuse 'perpetuate'.

Okay, not that obscure, but I think it's great that the English language has a verb meaning to throw someone out a window.

This is sort of me, although I'd argue that with the right ethic, ideals can become reality :moon:

Me too. I have so many words I love that are so not well received in any type of conversations.

Also I didn't reply earlier but can't believe I'm an extra special chosen one now. I accepted the request but do I also have to add you back for us to be real full proper friends now? :hugs:

Learnt it from a Red Hot Chilli Peppers song name, actually.

Comes in handy during ethical and political debates.

Sorry I can't see the definitions
    Sorry

    1) To steal something (or say that something has been stolen)
    2) This should be spelt with an e (looks like auto-correct disagreed with me ), but it is used to describe an insightful individual.
    3) Friendliness
    4) Stingy

I just pretend that the other person is the inadequate one for not knowing what the word means :teehee:

I don't really know how it works I just followed a link and ended up there and decided to make friends with people. Being friends sounds a lot better than following people - that way I'm not so much of a stalker

ermm a strumpet is a lady of ill-repute. swyving is her favorite pastime.
Do you like swyving a strumpet and then resting your member on her philtrum thereafter?

Ooh, and the weird words you get in music:

Klangfarbenmelodie - literally 'tone-colour melody', which is some technique Schoenberg uses in one of his pieces
Fortississimo - very, very, loud (kind of a mouthful)
Hemidemisemiquaver - a very short note
    Spoiler:

    It looks like this:

The French brought that word to the English people.

    Say thanks.
