I'm planning my German speaking test and phrase that I plan to use is a colloquial German phrase. However, the English translation may be considered slightly taboo. Not seriously bad or anything that would be taken out of a 12A film- just a bit NSFW. Should I steer clear or not worry?

Ask your teacher if the phrase is okay. They are allowed to advice you on certain phrases before the oral.

I don't know for sure but it doesn't seem like the best idea to me - do you really need to say it?

Avoid. Particularly if examiner is likely to be native speaker. May come across as inappropriate.

Yeah, that's a good point actually. Thanks
I often get carried away with planning these tests. I've just written a load ****ging off a local town- I'd better remove that!

Depends on the context but my spidey sense tells me you're trying to be a smartass.

Don't do it! The examiner might be offended.
