    Hello TSR

I am currently looking to pursue a career change towards an "Analyst" role ( either Data, Pricing or Finance at entry/graduate level). I would to know if it's possible to demonstrate SQL and VBA knowledge to potential employers through a blog or something of a similar nature as I lack practical experience and have some fundamental grounding in each.

I look forward to your responses!

    Hi.

Demonstrating some of your own personal projects will definitely help. It could be a blog or a website of your own making to showcase your portfolio, and even printouts to take with you. Employers would be keen to see how you approach your coding, so anything you've done which enables you to demonstrate your coding ability would be great.

This may well set you apart from other candidates as well.

Has anyone had any experience doing this?

I do have experience with this, that was the main reason I made the suggestion in my post above.

Employers would be keen to see evidence of what you've actually produced, some examples are as above. Let me know if that doesn't help or you haven't had any luck still.
