Geometric sequences and series

A geometric sequence of positive terms has a first term 2, and the sum of the first three terms is 266. Calculate the common ratio.

I have no idea how to do this as in a sequence you don't even add up the terms, and then it says the sum of the first three terms is 266.

It's from a past paper so I don't think it's a misprint or anything.

Just solve the equation

The terms are 2, 22 and 242 and the common ratio is 11

Thanks. Was really quite straightforward once you see it, think it was just the wording of the question that confused me.
