I've seen a trend for a few years now of people having spacers in their ears do they not realise they are permanently disfiguring them selves I saw a guy in John Lewis who had to tale his out for work and they were huge it really wasn't good to look at and how would you be able to work in a workshop with such a disfigurement because that's what people are doing to themselves they are mutlateing them selves I just can't see the attraction.

If you don't want to get stretchers, that's cool, you don't have to - people who do do so because they want to and they see the attraction.

I imagine most who get them give a lot of consideration to how they'll affect job prospects and the like beforehand - in an ideal world, it'd be realised that stretchers don't affect how well you do your job and therefore shouldn't matter, but until then, these are things that have to be considered.

Up to a certain gage, your ears can close back to normal if you take them out anyway (depends on the person). After that, you can get surgery, although yes, they can't return your earlobes to how they were before.

To be honest I get what you mean - I just want to stick a padlock through them

I think they actually look quite cool personally if they aren't too big but regardless, to each their own

This guys ear lobes without a word of a lie without the spacers in (he had to take them out for work) were down to his shoulders.
