    I know I haven't balanced it correctly but I don't see why. Isn't there 9 hydrogens on either side of the equation.

    2 H2O and 6 [H].
    The 2 moles of H2O mean you have 3 O atoms on each side. 6 [H] gives you 11 H atoms on each side.
